While he enjoyed a splashy collegiate debut and already sits near the top of opponent’s scouting reports, Providence College freshman A.J. Reeves knows what’s awaiting him this weekend.
Reeves and the Friars will play two high-major games in the Hall of Fame Tip Off at Mohegan Sun Arena. The first test comes on Saturday afternoon against South Carolina. Nationally ranked Michigan or George Washington awaits on Sunday.
It’s a two-game taste of what’s to come for Reeves once the Big East schedule arrives in January. PC coach Ed Cooley and South Carolina’s Frank Martin both think their teams are going to be good this season but just how quickly they work up to speed is largely dependent on the maturation of young players like Reeves.
