Friar Journal: Friars digging major hole, David Duke still believes in team

ANAHEIM, Cal. – As Ed Cooley wrapped up a morose post-game press conference Friday, he fell on his sword for his team’s shoddy early-season play and deflected criticism from his players. Then he made a bit of a mistake and said there’s time to right the ship. Not so fast.

The Friars are 4-4 after the first three-game losing skid in non-conference play since 2015. PC hasn’t lost more than four games outside of Big East play since the 2000 season and with five games to play including a trip to URI and contests against Florida and Texas, the Friars are on a path that needs an instant change.
