*Maybe the best part to the tip-off of the college basketball season is finally putting a face and body to the always-hyped freshmen stepping into the big-time. It was great to see high-flying Jacob Toppin make a few above-the-rim plays in Rhode Island’s win over Long Island. He adds some badly needed athleticism to the Rams attack and if he can supply a jump shot of note, coach David Cox would really have a recruiting steal on his hands.
