Edwards Sparks Win Over Washington

In a game desperately lacking in composure from both of the teams taking to the Madison Square Garden floor on Thursday night, redshirt sophomore Drew Edwards provided just that in the second half of Providence’s 77-70 victory over Washington.

Edwards missed virtually all of last season recovering from an offseason knee surgery and looked out of rhythm early this year, but he was part of a lineup that included Maliek White, Alpha Diallo, Jalen Lindsey and Kalif Young that solved a 2-3 zone that puzzled PC most of the night.

Edwards scored 11 points off of the bench on 3-4 shooting from the field.
