PROVIDENCE – After watching what he watched Saturday at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center, Ed Cooley would like his team to play again as fast as possible. He’s not so lucky.
The Friars will brood over their 81-75 home loss to Penn until they arrive in Anaheim, Cal., next week. PC will play Long Beach State in the first round of the Wooden Legacy at 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. Games will follow Friday and Sunday and by then Cooley and his team hope to have turned the corner a bit in what’s been an inconsistent, unfulfilling start to the season.
