  • PROVIDENCE – He’s the one guy the Friars can’t win without. The one who can who can get them points when they need them. He’s their main man, their best player. Mr. Indispensable.
Highly-touted guard Kris Dunn? No, Ben Bentil.
Without Bentil, the Friars couldn’t beat DePaul. But with Kris Dunn ailing – again –and playing just 17 minutes, scoring only two points, the Friars, led by Bentil, easily secured a much-needed victory over the Blue Demons, 87-66.
Make of that what you will.
Bentil, who played just 14 minutes in PC’s loss to DePaul in Chicago after spraining an ankle, poured in a game-high 28 points on 9-for-15 shooting while pulling down 8 rebounds – also a game-high -- and picking up 5 assists in PC’s mauling of the moribund Blue Demons at the Dunk.
