Donaldson: High-scoring Brown lacrosse team has legitimate national title aspirations

If you like to see lots of scoring – and who doesn’t? – you’re going to love watching Brown lacrosse this season.

“Brown lacrosse is all about playing a fast, frenetic pace, free of fear,” Bears coach Lars Tiffany said. “We like to play at full-throttle.”

It’s opposing defenses that should be fearful, considering the offensive firepower of the high-scoring Bears.

After opening with a 20-7 blowout win at Quinnipiac, Brown outscored No. 19 Stony Brook, 16-14, on Saturday on Long Island.

“I think really highly of them,” Tiffany said of the Seawolves.
