PROVIDENCE – Dajour Dickens’ short-lived basketball career at Providence College is over.
Dickens, a 7-foot center who redshirted last year as a freshman, has decided to leave the school. PC issued a release Thursday saying he is leaving “to pursue other opportunities.”
Dickens attended Bethel High School in Hampton, Va., and for the Boo Williams program on the AAU circuit. He was ranked as the No. 19 and No.13 center prospect in the country by Scout.com and CBS 247, respectively.
Dickens spent the 2017-18 program maturing both on and off the court. He became a major factor on the defensive end of the court during practices and showed off an improving jump shot.
