Creighton 78 PC 64; No. 10 Bluejays wear down Friars

PROVIDENCE - The Creighton Bluejays showed Providence Friar fans just what one of the country's most explosive, efficient offensive teams looks like on a snowy Saturday afternoon at the Dunkin' Donuts Center.

The No. 10 Bluejays felt a strong push from the Friars for 32 minutes but never blinked on the way to a 78-64 victory. Creighton (15-1, 3-1) out-scored the Friars 15-6 over the final 7:54 to race to the victory.

Star guard Maurice Watson sparked the Bluejays with 11 points and 14 assists. Big man Justin Patton added 20 points, Marcus Foster had 17 and Khyri Thomas scored 16.
