Cooley used slight to motivate his Friars

When his Providence Friars were picked to finish ninth out of 10 Big East teams in October, Ed Cooley felt disrespected. The coach gathered his team, looked the players square in the eye and swore that prediction wouldn't become reality. "I told them there's no way this team will end up in ninth place. We won't be ninth or tenth. We'll find a way, and make it happen," he said.
