The Golden Knights scored goals in the first and final minutes of the opening period.
Grant Cooper scored the only goal the Golden Knights would need 51 seconds into the game. Devin Brosseau scored on a power play with 42 seconds left in the first.
Brousseau added a second power play goal at 8:11 of the second period.
