ANAHEIM, Cal . – This trip to Disneyland has become an ugly California misadventure for the Providence College Friars.
Providence lost for the second straight day, this time a 63-55 defeat at the hands of the College of Charleston. The Friars couldn’t survive game-long offensive woes that saw Ed Cooley’s team shoot 34 percent for the day and manage 26 points in the second half.
PC (4-4) will play in the seventh place game Sunday at 6 p.m.
David Duke led the Friars with 22 points, Alpha Diallo added 13 and Emmitt Holt had 11. Grant Riller poured in 29 for Charleston.
