Brown's Steven Spieth earns Academic All-District honors

Brown junior forward Steven Spieth has been named to the College Sports Information Director’s of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Team. The awards program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.

Spieth owns a 3.3 grade point average as a Business, Entrepreneurship and Organizations concentrator at Brown. He's averaging 11.6 points per game, including a team leading 15.5 in Ivy League action. He ranks fifth in the Ivy League with 3.6 assists per game and second in the league in free throw percentage (.864). Spieth has started 79 of his 80 career games for the Bears.
