PROVIDENCE – Down was up and up was down at Meehan Auditorium on Sunday.
Brown University, tied for seventh place in the ECAC, upset defending national champion Providence College of Hockey East in overtime, 4-3, on freshman Tom Marchin’s goal. But the Bears lost the Mayor’s Cup.
PC, the No. 1 ranked team in the country since Nov. 9, lost the game, but won the Mayor’s Cup.
