The Big East's dearth of NCAA Tournament success in the two years since its makeover can be viewed as an indicator of a diminished conference or simple randomness, a troubling harbinger or an uncomfortable blip. Until it changes, though, the conference's postseason washout cannot be escaped or ignored.
"You have to own it," Butler Coach Chris Holtmann said. "We understand that now's the time to continue to perform well.
