NEW YORK — When asked which game he’s most looking forward to on the Providence College schedule this season, Isaiah Jackson didn’t hesitate.
“The first game of the season,” Jackson said, a Nov. 14 matchup with Vermont at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center. “I can’t look past that.”
Sexier alternatives like a Gavitt Tipoff Games meeting with Ohio State, a Thanksgiving trip to the Emerald Coast Classic in his native Florida or the annual in-state battle with the University of Rhode Island can wait. Jackson sat out all of 2015-16 as a transfer from George Mason and watched the Friars reach their third straight NCAA Tournament without him.
