Kris Dunn played sparingly in this one, as he’s still being slowed by a virus, so Kyron Cartwright stepped up with a career high 16 points. Cartwright also had eight assists and got to the line for nine free throw attempts.

Ed Cooley inserted sophmore Jalen Lindsey back into the starting lineup and he responded with 14 points and four rebounds in 27 minutes. Lindsey’s 14 points marked the first time he scored in double figures since Providence blew out Massachusetts to close out the non-conference portion of the schedule. He attempted a season high seven free throws (making six) and connected on 2-5 from 3 point range.
