NEWTON, Mass. -- Providence College gave up two goals in the third period and lost to Boston College, 4-2, in a Hockey East game on Friday night at Conte Forum.
The loss snapped a 5-0-3 streak for the Friars (12-5-4 overall, 6-3-1 in Hockey East).
PC fell behind just 12 seconds after the opening face off when BC’s David Cotton beat Hayden Hawkey (20 saves).
The Friars tied the game on a goal by Josh Wilkins at 12:59 of the first period, assisted by Jack Dugan and Kasper Bjorkqvist.
Jay O’Brien gave PC a 2-1 lead with an unassisted goal at 18:06 of the first period.
