NEWTON, Mass. — Boston College goalie Joe Woll made 25 saves to lead the Eagles to a 4-1 win over 11th-ranked Providence College on Saturday afternoon at Conte Forum.
Michael Kim gave BC a 1-0 lead just 3:16 into the game, scoring a power-play goal on a one-timer from the point. David Cotton made it 2-0 just over nine minutes later with a short-handed goal — his 14th goal of the year. After a turnover in the neutral zone, Cotton rushed down the right side and snapped a shot over the blocker of PC goalie Hayden Hawkey.
PC finally got on the board at 9:31 of the second period when Bryson Lemos threw a shot in on Woll and the rebound bounced off Jason O’Neill for his third goal.
