Ashton-Langford to leave PC basketball program

PROVIDENCE — A day after graduate transfer point guard Luwane Pipkins announced his intention to transfer to PC from UMass, sophomore point guard Makai Ashton-Langford took to Twitter to say he’s decided to transfer to another school. No official word was released by PC but to think that one move wasn’t related to the other would be a bit foolhardy.

“I would like to thank Providence College for everything that they have done for me, giving me an opportunity to play basketball at a high level and the ability to have a free education,” Ashton-Langford wrote. “Built some great lifetime friendships in the two years that I have been here, truly unforgettable moments that I have had but I’ve decided to move on and transfer elsewhere.
