BROOKLYN, N.Y. – As Ed Cooley stood in the rear of the Barclays Center late Thursday night, the hurt in his heart wasn’t easily concealed.
A few hours earlier, Cooley enjoyed one of the most exciting moments of his college coaching career when he hugged his very first lottery pick. The Providence College coach “was incredibly proud,” when Kris Dunn was scooped up with the fifth overall pick by the Minnesota Timberwolves.
