Game: Providence vs. Seton Hall on 1-14-17.
Where the Friars Stood: PC was barely standing at this point. When we’d last checked in on the Friars they’d taken down Georgetown in their Big East home opener. That win upped their record to 1-2 in conference, but they fell to #10 Creighton during blizzard conditions (and without point guard Kyron Cartwright) at the Dunk, and blew a double-digit lead late at DePaul — in what was the low point of the season.
The Result: Behind a breakneck 19-2 run in the first half, PC raced out to a 16 point lead before Seton Hall tied it up with four minutes left in the game.
