3 Up Against Maine

Providence raced out to an 18-2 start en route to their 10th win in 12 games this season — a 79-59 victory over Maine — but it was far from a perfect night for Ed Cooley’s group.

The Friars had just 12 assists and turned the ball over 12 times, as they couldn’t shake a Maine team led by former PC assistant Bob Walsh.

PC made just eight of 29 shots from beyond the 3-point arc and allowed the Bears to score 34 second half points.

Still, the Friars got solid efforts from three players in particular.
