#15 Notre Dame 4, #10 PC 1: Friars' 9-game winning streak ends

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Fifteenth-ranked Notre Dame scored three times in the third period on the way to a 4-1 win over 10th-ranked Providence College on Friday night.

Anthony Florentino scored the only goal for the Friars, whose nine-game winning streak came to an end.

Jack Jenkins gave the Irish a 1-0 lead at 17:34 of the first period.

PC tied the game on Florentino's unassisted goal, his ninth of the season, at 14:02 of the second period.

Cal Burke's goal 59 seconds into the third period gave Notre Dame a 2-1 lead.

Boston Bruins draft pick Anders Bjork scored a shorthanded goal at 14:18 of the third, his 18th goal of the season, and added a power-play goal at 16:15.
