Zlatan Ibrahimovic will recover fully from knee surgery and play again, says Man United team-mate Ander Herrera

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's supreme physical fitness and competitive edge will help the Manchester United striker resurrect his career after major knee surgery, says teammate Ander Herrera.

Ibrahimovic is due to see Pittsburgh-based surgeon Dr Freddie Fu this week after rupturing the cruciate ligament in his right knee towards the end of United's Europa League win over Anderlecht last week.

The 35-year-old Swedish star posted a message on social media on Monday morning, insisting that 'giving up is not an option' even though he could be sidelined for up to nine months.
