The Premier League is fortunate to be graced by some of the finest footballers from the continent of Africa, and this week the BBC have released their official shortlist... with a few surprise inclusions.
As is tradition the BBC select five African footballers each year to be held up to the public vote.
Fans are invited to decide which of the individuals they believe has been the strongest performing African footballer over the previous 12 months of action.
