Rui Patricio is conscious and speaking following the sickening head injury he suffered in the final minutes of Wolves’ defeat by Liverpool on Monday night.

The goalkeeper was treated for around 10 minutes before being taken off on a stretcher, having collided with the knee of defender Conor Coady.

‘He’s okay, he’s awake, he’s conscious, he speaks, he remembers what happens, we have to take the right precautions but he’s okay,' Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo said.
