Wolves are to hold talks with Julen Lopetegui in the coming days with a view to finally bringing the former Sevilla manager to Molineux, according to a new report.
Lopetegui, 56, accepted the manager role at Wolves in 2016 - but was tempted away to take charge of the Spanish national team.
Six years on, the Midlands club need a new manager after firing Bruno Lage last weekend, and Lopetegui is now available after being dismissed by Sevilla on Wednesday night.
Wolves are now set to hold formal talks with Lopetegui and his agent Jorge Mendes, as part of a thorough recruiting process for Lage's replacement, according to The Athletic.
