Willy Caballero and Olivier Giroud become the first Chelsea players to have their contracts extended as Blues tie down stars ahead of Project Restart

Chelsea have confirmed that Willy Caballero and Olivier Giroud have had their contracts extended by a further year, keeping them at the club until the 2020-21 campaign.

The club exercised their options to keep both the goalkeeper and striker at Stamford Bridge for another year after they forced their way into Frank Lampard's side at the start of the year.

Caballero has featured nine times for the Blues while Giroud has made 13 appearances in total this season.
