Roy Hodgson failed to disguise his face of thunder when once again forced to shed light on the uncertain future facing Wilfried Zaha.

Days before Crystal Palace's final game of the season, which has once again been plagued by inconsistencies on the field and discontentment among the fanbase, the 27-year-old reiterated his desire for a new challenge.

And the news appears to have come as no surprise to the wily Hodgson, who abandoned his usually affable persona while revealing he had been left with a sour taste due to Zaha's post-restart form.

'I don't think he's been anything like as good as he can be during this COVID period', Hodgson told reporters, before admitting that the wideman had 'a job to do up front all on his own'.
