Wilfried Bony made his long-awaited return in Swansea City’s 1-0 victory over Bolton Wanderers in Saturday’s English Championship fixture.
The attacker suffered a knee injury in February against Leicester City in the Premier League and has struggled to overcome the setback.
Despite returning to training, the forward could not prove his readiness for action and subsequently was left out of the games against Reading and Rotherham United.
However, the 29-year-old played for ten minutes after replacing Bersant Celina in his debut appearance in the English second tier as the Swans bounced back to winning ways with Barry McKay scoring the solitary goal.
