'What is he thinking?!': Jamie Carragher hits out at Granit Xhaka's 'RIDICULOUS' decision to square up to Trent Alexander-Arnold... which gave Liverpool a lift before Mo Salah scored against Arsenal in thrilling 2-2 draw

Jamie Carragher has ripped into the 'ridiculous' decision of Granit Xhaka to hit out at Trent Alexander-Arnold when Arsenal were 2-0 up against Liverpool at Anfield - before the Reds hit back to draw 2-2.

The Arsenal man did not react kindly to a challenge on the left-hand side of the famous Merseyside pitch, and chose to lash out at the 24-year-old Reds player.

Alexander-Arnold, seemingly playing in midfield instead of a traditional defensive role, went head-to-head with the Swiss.

The moment riled up the Anfield crowd, with Liverpool halving the deficit through Mo Salah almost immediately afterwards, and Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville was confused as to why Xhaka chose to lash out in an intense moment.
