Watford Captain Troy Deeney damns Project Restart plans as he insists he will not put football above the health of his family.
The 31-year-old has registered his opposition to the league's return amid the coronavirus pandemic, which has now claimed more than 33,000 lives in the UK, by saying he would rather be broke than return to football during these unprecedented times.
Deeney was among the Premier League captains who discussed player welfare with the PFA, league bosses and Government officials over Zoom, amid Project Restart talks.
