West Ham are willing to increase the £2.5million-per-year rent they pay to play at the London Stadium, but only if they are handed increased rights and greater control.
Hammers officials have signalled a willingness to listen to proposals from London mayor Sadiq Khan, who took full control of the ground following a report by forensic accountants, exposing how the costs had spiralled out of control.
Club vice-chairman Karren Brady is eager to sit down with Khan, but a meeting has still to be confirmed, despite the Moore Stephens findings published in November.
LLDC officials expect a meeting to be scheduled over the coming weeks.
