London Stadium officials will position stewards from West Ham's old stadium Upton Park in hotspot areas on Wednesday night as they strive to avoid crowd trouble during the powder-keg EFL Cup fixture against Chelsea.
Over 5,000 Chelsea fans will descend on the former Olympic Stadium and security operators 'London Stadium 185' are determined to avoid the flare-ups that have blighted fixtures against Bournemouth, Astra, Watford and Middlesbrough already this season.
It will be the biggest away following so far, with previous opponents bringing around 3,000 fans, and Chelsea are the biggest rival to visit West Ham's new stadium this season.
