West Ham are confident they will not face any punishment after Eintracht Frankfurt complained to FIFA about the Premier League club defaulting on a £5.4million payment for Sebastien Haller.
Haller joined for a record £45m fee last summer — 75 per cent of which was paid up front — but West Ham missed paying their latest instalment on May 15.
Yet West Ham insiders insist the contractual problem is a misunderstanding which will be resolved before world football's governing body have a chance to investigate or issue any sanctions.
The Times revealed that the German club have lodged a complaint after the east London side defaulted on their latest instalment of £5.
