West Ham boss Slaven Bilic rejected moves for Renato Sanches and Grzegorz Krychowiak late in the transfer window, according to co-owner David Sullivan.
Sanches and Krychowiak were late movers in August, signing season-long loan deals at Swansea and West Brom respectively.
The Hammers failed to add to their five summer signings at the end of last month because the manager was 'happy with the squad he has'.
But West Ham have made an abject start to the new season, and sit joint-bottom of the Premier League alongside Brighton and Crystal Palace after losing their three opening games.
