West Ham co-owner David Sullivan attempts to recruit new players just HOURS after undergoing surgery

Football supporters often slate their club's owners for a perceived lack of activity during the transfer window.

However, West Ham's joint-chairman, David Sullivan, cannot be accused of any laziness this summer after he was reportedly pictured wheeling and dealing - just hours after undergoing heart surgery.

The 67-year-old's son, David Sullivan Jr, shared a picture on social media which appeared to show his father speaking on the phone while laid down on a hospital bed.

The billionaire, who also used to own Birmingham City, had just undergone heart surgery for the second time in his life, having previously undergone a quadruple heart bypass surgery in 1994.
