West Brom assure Tony Pulis his job is safe despite being labelled a liar in £2m Crystal Palace bonus debacle

Tony Pulis has been assured his position at West Brom is safe despite being branded a liar in court over a £2m survival bonus.

Pulis was landed with a legal bill of up to £6m and a reputation severely tarnished this week by the ruling of a Premier League arbitration panel that was upheld by a High Court Judge.

Judge Sir Michael Burton, who rejected Pulis's appeal against the ruling, published extracts from the panel's judgement that branded Pulis 'disgraceful' and concluded he misled Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish to secure early payment of his bonus before resigning in 2014.
