Watford midfielder Valon Behrami has unveiled a tattoo on his leg that gives huge insight into his troubled upbringing in war-torn Kosovo.
Behrami was raised in Mitrovica, northern Kosovo, in the late 1980s before the political and economic situation there hit crisis point.
At that stage, Kosovo was in rapid decline with tensions rising between Serbs and Albanians, creating a hostile atmosphere which preceded a particularly violent period.

And following both his parents losing their jobs, Behrami, his sister and his parents moved to Canton Ticino in southern Switzerland in 1990 before seeking asylum and obtaining a residence permit in 1998.
