The former Sweden international believes Spurs are among the favourites for the competition but is not convinced they can sustain their form
Former Arsenal star Freddie Ljungberg believes Tottenham Hotspur must be considered serious contenders for this season’s Europa League title – if they can avoid a late-season collapse.
Spurs face Belgian club Gent in the round of 32 on Thursday and Ljungberg says he has been impressed by Mauricio Pochettino’s side but is unsure as to whether they can sustain their form.
“They have a good side, they work hard for each other,” Ljungberg said.
