Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany admits that he is having to compromise with Pep Guardiola's medical staff as he strives for a solution to his long-standing injury problems.
Kompany was not included in the City squad for the 4-0 defeat by Barcelona last Wednesday and reports subsequently claimed that the Belgian defender felt he was fit to play.
Kompany, 30, did return to the starting line-up for the 1-1 draw with Southampton on Sunday for his first Premier League start of the season after suffering a catalogue of injuries in recent years.
'My situation is very simple,' Kompany said.
