The 24-year-old striker was handed a start against Tottenham for the Gunners' Under-23 side and duly opened the scoring in the first half
Arsenal forward Yaya Sanogo capitalised on some woeful defending to score his first goal in over a year.
The French striker was named in the starting XI to face Tottenham Under-23s on Friday, having not featured for the Gunners since December 2014.
His last goal came while on a loan spell with Charlton Athletic, where he scored a hat-trick in a 4-3 defeat to Reading in February 2016.
But having made his first appearance of the season in a Gunners shirt, albeit at reserve level, he took his chance to opening the scoring for the Gunners.
