The Inter defender made a fool of himself when trying to clear a routine ball into the box, resulting in a spot-kick for the visitors
Despite Japan easing to a 4-0 World Cup Qualification victory over Thailan on Tuesday, defender Yuto Nagatomo had a moment he would rather forget.
As the visitors delivered the ball into the Japan box, Nagatomo had the easy job of knocking it away from goal.
His feeble clearance rebounded off a nearby team-mate, however, before an ulmighty slip from Nagatomo led to a scramble with the opposing forward.
Nagatomo then threw himself between the striker and the ball, leading to a Thailand penalty.
