The Brazilian midfielder was on target against Kashima Antlers, having also netted in the first leg, to help his side reach the quarter-final stage
Former Tottenham midfielder Paulinho has helped Guangzhou Evergrande into the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League.
The Brazil international has impressed in China since completing a £9.9 million move in the summer of 2015.
He reached double figures in terms of goals scored last season, and is closing in on that mark once again.
Paulinho can take much of the credit for Guangzhou’s progress through continental competition this term, having netted in both legs of a last 16 clash with Kashima Antlers.
