USMNT center back Miles Robinson has signed with FC Cincinnati after spending the last seven seasons with Atlanta United.
On Wednesday, sources told The Athletic that the deal was signed after Robinson's contract with Atlanta expired at the end of the 2023 season.
The Five Stripes attempted to re-sign the 26-year-old using the maximum capacity of their targeted allocation money, per Apple TV's Taylor Twellman. However, sources reported that Robinson's camp turned it down in search of a deal similar to Walker Zimmerman's designated player contract in Nashville.
While the deal with Cincinnati does not match Zimmerman's, Robinson chose to sign with the Garys over other MLS clubs.
