Tottenham are set to discover today whether their pursuit of Serge Aurier is successful, as they await the result of a work visa application thrown into doubt by the Paris Saint-Germain player's prior assault conviction.
Spurs have agreed a £23million deal with the Parisian club and have an agreement over a five-year contract in place with the player, but still require a work visa before the Ivory Coast international's transfer can be sealed.
That process has been complicated by the 24-year-old's assault conviction, which last season saw him denied entry to the United Kingdom for his club's Champions League match with Arsenal.
