Tottenham striker Harry Kane hits out at Jack Rodwell after knee-high lunge on Mousa Dembele: 'It's a dangerous tackle and definitely a red card'

Harry Kane has hit out at Sunderland midfielder Jack Rodwell and says he should have been sent off for his knee-high kick on Mousa Dembele.

Rodwell was booked during the first half of Tuesday night's goalless draw at the Stadium of Light when he deliberately chopped down Dembele after the Spurs playmaker had dribbled by him.

Skipper Kane led the protests as his team-mate lay stricken on the turf but referee Lee Mason opted against what would have been a deserved red card.
