Tottenham are currently out of the running for Axel Disasi despite previously agreeing a loan deal with Chelsea, sources have confirmed to Mail Sport.
It is over to Aston Villa, therefore, who have been Disasi's preference.
The issue is Chelsea see Villa as direct rivals for a Champions League place, so they would have preferred to do business with Tottenham.
