Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli labelled as 'pathetic' on Twitter as social media reacts after he appears to dive during win over Crystal Palace

The world of social media poked fun at Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli after he appeared to dive during the 1-0 win over Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Alli threw himself to the ground after 73 minutes at Selhurst Park in an attempt to convince Kevin Friend that he had been fouled by goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey.

The Spurs midfielder has already been booked twice for diving this season — against Huddersfield and Liverpool — and, although Friend did not caution him on this occasion, television replays showed clearly that he was guilty again.
